PERFORMANCE FILMS & FOILS
A world class manufacturer
We are expert by manufacturing a wide range of advanced film materials. In fact, you have probably used a Loxy product sometime without even knowing it. We develop highly engineered materials from resins and polymers for customers around the world.
Medical films
Our medical films and foils are produced by blown film multilayer technology.
Functional films
Functional films are polymer sheets that are applied on a fragile substrate to enhance their qualities.
Technical films
We are one of the leading partners in R&D and production of TPU films and other high-performance films.
Our capabilities
With decades of success behind us and an ambitious future ahead, our global business is engineered for tomorrow.
The production centre and R&D department for LOXY® Performance Films & Foils are in Kumla, Sweden.
The site is a top modern facility of 10 000 square meters with all film production being performed in controlled environment and some extra demanding parts in clean room areas as well.
Our competencies include expertise and capabilities in resin-based technologies and materials.
As part of this effort, we have further developed our high-performance TPU films as well as other high performance films covering applications in various sectors such as Medical, Technical, Construction and General Industry.
Our possibilities become our customers advantages
Whether you need large sheets or smaller cuts, LOXY has the possibility to cut and convert the film by fixed knife systems or rotating knife systems. We also have a hotmelt lamination line, which allows us to laminate different types of material and Blown Film Co-Extrusion for 2-layer, 3-layer and 5-layer applications.
A leading provider choosing renewable materials
Loxy is a leading global provider of engineered solutions of advanced film and foil materials. Our origins as bonding and seam sealing experts to the textile industry, have given us cutting-edge technologies to solve the most challenging tasks in various polymer film applications.
We have consistently demonstrated a forward-looking approach to helping our customers succeed. Our history of performance is, in large part to our fundamental polymer resin expertise and our deep understanding of the industries we serve.
Our environmental responsibility and quality commitment
Wherever possible, we chose renewable materials. Our controlled environment and clean room production is accordingly to ISO class 8. The routines and procedures are according to the latest medical standards.
We are proud of our qualified and experienced team, who are working hard for quality assurance and control. Our quality work is done in our very well-equipped testing and control laboratory.
Loxy Sweden AB is certified according to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.

Frequently asked questions
What is performance TPU film?
Performance TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) film is an engineered polymer film built for demanding applications. It offers high durability, flexibility, excellent tensile strength, and strong puncture resistance, which is why it’s widely used in medical, technical, and industrial products that need to withstand stress without failing.
What is the difference between films and foils?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
What is film co-extrusion?
Co-extrusion is a manufacturing process where a TPU film is produced with multiple layers in a single pass, and each layer can use a different material or colour. This lets manufacturers combine properties, like a strong core layer with a protective outer layer, into one film without a separate lamination step.
What is a controlled environment in TPU-film production?
A controlled environment in TPU-film production means the production hall uses overpressure and advanced air filtration, combined with strict cleaning protocols. This creates conditions similar to a clean room, even though the space isn’t officially clean-room classified, and it keeps contamination levels low during manufacturing.
What is clean room production?
Clean room production is manufacturing carried out in a specially designed environment where airborne particle levels are tightly controlled through air filtration, overpressure, restricted access, and strict cleaning protocols. It’s essential for producing particulate-sensitive products such as medical films, where even microscopic contamination can compromise quality.
What's the difference between lamination films and laminated foils?
A lamination film is designed to be bonded to another material, like as a film, paper, metal or existing laminate, to add a specific property like strength or a barrier layer. A laminated foil is the finished, multi-layer structure that results once two or more films (or a film and another substrate) have been bonded together.
What does water vapor and oxygen barrier mean for a performance film?
Water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and oxygen transmission rate (OTR) measure how effectively a film blocks moisture and oxygen from passing through it. A lower transmission rate means better barrier performance, which is critical for protecting sensitive products, like medical devices or packaged goods, from moisture damage or oxidation.
Is there a lifespan for TPU films?
Yes, TPU films have a finite shelf life, but when stored under the right conditions such as controlled temperature, humidity, and away from direct sunlight, that lifespan is very long. For exact shelf-life data on a specific product, request a Technical Data Sheet (TDS) from Loxy’s technical team.
What industries use Loxy's films and foils?
Loxy’s performance films and foils serve a wide range of industries, including medical, technical, construction, and general industry, alongside our origins in textile bonding and seam sealing. Applications range from blown-film multilayer medical films to high-performance TPU and metallized films for demanding technical uses.
Can Loxy customize film size, thickness, or lamination?
Loxy can cut and convert film using fixed-knife or rotating-knife systems for custom sizes, from large sheets down to smaller cuts. We also offer hotmelt lamination for bonding different materials together, and blown film co-extrusion in 2-, 3-, and 5-layer configurations to meet specific application requirements.
What quality and environmental certifications does Loxy hold
Loxy Sweden AB is certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). Our clean room and controlled production environments follow ISO Class 8 standards, and wherever possible we choose renewable materials to reduce environmental impact.
Where are Loxy's films and foils manufactured?
Loxy’s Performance Films & Foils are produced and developed at a 10,000-square-meter production and R&D facility in Kumla, Sweden. All film production takes place in a controlled environment, with the most demanding processes carried out in dedicated clean room areas.
